Let’s Talk about Hair

To give you a little background, my ex wife was Afro-Cuban.

Pretty early in our relationship she gave me a crash course on what she thought about "good hair." After we were married and raising a family together, I saw some of those lessons get passed to our children.

Now, my daughter has a daughter of her own. I've heard a lot of other stories along the way and while they are all different and personal, there are lots of common themes.

One that I see often, is the general ignorance among white people about Black hair.
